ALYak error in the update that caused some programs to be recognized as ransomware and blocked.

The Alyak security program is widely used in Korea, but it has been experiencing problems lately. There was an error in the update that caused some programs to be recognized as ransomware and blocked. East Security, the company that developed Alyak, is working on identifying the cause of the error and distributing recovery tools. This is not the first time that Alyak has had problems, and the company has been criticized in the past for its "false positive" function that can cause systems to be blocked.

Alyak, the Pill, is a widely used security program in Korea.
After updating the software, there was a series of damage caused by misleading ransomware, which caused PCs to fail.
East Security, a security company and the developer of the Alyak, said on the 30th, "There was an error in detecting ransomware for the release of the update today, so we are currently analyzing the exact cause and taking an emergency response."
An error occurred because normal programs, not ransomware, were mistakenly recognized as ransomware.
Users who were using the Alyak could not use some programs as a "ransomware blocking notification message" was displayed when accessing the program.
It is reported that the Alyak mistakenly recognizes the default process in the window as ransomware and sends such a message.
An official from East Security said, "We are recovering the problem by identifying the cause of the failure," adding, "We plan to distribute recovery tools within today."
East Security said, "The problematic product is the Alyak release version (v.2.5.8.617), which has no impact on corporate version products," adding, "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused while using the product, and we will do our best to normalize it as soon as possible."

There has been a rudimentary error that mistakenly recognizes the basic process installed in Windows as ransomware, but contrary to conventional wisdom, there is no need to find and use domestic security programs.
