Hyundai unveils IONIC 6, plans to sell 330,000 electric vehicles in Korea by 2030

The Hyundai Motor Company is planning to sell 13 types of electric vehicles and 330,000 units in Korea by 2030. This is a huge increase from the 50,000 units that they are expecting to sell globally of the IONIC 6. The company is evidently investing a lot in the electric vehicle market, with an expected investment of KRW 2 trillion in new electric vehicle plants. This is a very positive move, as electric vehicles are matter of concerns these days.

Hyundai Motor announced its vision for electricity transfer in Korea at the 2022 Busan International Motor Show held at BEXCO in Haeundae-gu, Busan on the 14th. On the same day, IONIC 6 was unveiled on Press Day.
It was the first time that IONIC 6 was revealed.
It can drive up to 524 kilometers once charged.

Hyundai Motor President Jang Jae-hoon said, "Domestic electric vehicle plants are centered on Ulsan plants."
Regarding the amount of investment in new electric vehicle plants, he said, "We are considering about KRW 2 trillion," adding, "We are reviewing in depth because we need to produce new electric vehicles centered on domestic factories in the era of electric vehicles."
As for IONIC 6, "We are expecting to sell more than 50,000 units globally," he said. "We are planning to do sales marketing focusing on major markets such as Europe and the United States."
