Mid Tier Plan Approved, but Still Questionable.

SKT's mid tier plan, which provides 24GB for 59,000 won per month, has been approved. However, the market is questioning whether  SKT's 5G intermediate plan is effective, considering the 25 to 100GB section is still empty.
Meanwhile, LG U+ is pushing to release an intermediate plan of around 30GB. When LG U+ releases a plan that provides 30GB of data, SK Telecom and KT are also expected to release additional plans as a response.

In a meeting between the Minister of Science and ICT and the CEOs of the three mobile telecommunications companies held on the 11th July, telecommunications companies said they would launch a mid tier plan in August.
Hong Jin-bae, head of the network policy department at the Ministry of Science and ICT, said, "We agree that SK Telecom's plan should be further subdivided, not the last," adding, "We cannot force private companies to release it under the current system, but we will continue to consult with telecommunication companies."

Carriers don't want average consumption to go up in this way, so they don't want to charge reasonably for the sweetest capacity segment.

It seems that the telecommunications companies are not considering the consumers when they are deciding on their 5G plans. The fact that they are only offering a high-tier plan shows that they are only interested in making money and not providing a service that is beneficial for the consumer. This is not a good sign for the future of 5G in South Korea.
