Mobile Driver's Licenses Will Be Issued Nationwide from the 28th.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security and the National Police Agency announced that they will issue mobile driver licenses at all 27 driver's license test centers and 258 police stations nationwide from the 28th.
A mobile driver's license is a driver's license issued to personal mobile phones in accordance with the Road Traffic Act and has the same legal effect as the current plastic driver's license.
In order to allow mobile driver's licenses to be used for financial transactions, you must first visit the driver's license test center or the police station's civil service office to receive the issuance after face-to-face identity verification. It can only be issued for one device registered in your name.

There are already countries that are leading in this field, such as Australia, but now in Korea, if you have a phone, you don't have to carry your ID card at all.

It's a good idea. It's more convenient for people and it'll be harder to lose your driver's license if it's on your phone.
